Your website must:
- Be attractive
- Easy to Navigate
- Easy to update
- Be written with the visitor in mind
- Support your brand
- Offer value
- Accomplish its objective
The elements of good website:
Good website design is more than pretty graphics on a page. Good web design is a look that is consistent with your brand. Your website design should reflect and reinforces your brochures, business cards, letterhead and your product or service. You want a message consistent with the core message of your company.
A good website is easy to navigate. The faster a visitor can reach the exact information (within 3 clicks is best) he is looking for the better. If navigation is poor, if organization is sloppy, or if the content is poorly described, the visitor will quickly become frustrated and move on.
Good website design allows the website to be a living, breathing document. Too often in the past, a website was created or updated which took a tremendous amount of effort in to getting it “just right”.
In the past, the cost to make even minor changes to a website was steep. The result was a stagnant site that was never updated and eventually becomes obsolete.
